Day 1 Arrival in Cetara or Vietri

Upon arrival at Cetara you will check in at the hotel, where the bikes await you (unless you bring your own). Depending on the arrival time, an evening stroll through the small town's historical center would be lovely before dinner is served at the restaurant of the hotel. Should you arrive early, then you can take a short bikeride to the nearby beautiful village of Vietri sul Mare, famous for its production of colorful ceramics.

Accommodation Note: the first night will be spent either in Cetara or Vietri
Day 2 Cycling from Cetara to Amalfi with an option to visit Ravello

In case you did not have time to experience Cetara yesterday, this is where you will spend the first stop of the day. Have a cup of coffee in the café at the harbor, from where you can see the local fishermen working on their beautifully colored boats.

Proceed to Capo d'Orso, the highest point of on the route, with sweeping views across the Amalfi Coast and all the way to the isle of Capri.

From here you will have energy to enjoy the surroundings, as you roll down the mountain on a road that winds through lemon groves and forest, before reaching the dramatic cliffs near Maiori. This is the largest city on the coast and from here the route continues further around the beautiful mountain sides to Minori, a small attractive town with a beautiful seafront promenade.

From here it is a short climb to Castiglione, where you can choose whether you want to continue on the bike up to Ravello (steep ascent) or cycle directly down to Amalfi. Here you can leave the bikes at the hotel and take a bus to Ravello. In the evening a private boat will take you to a restaurant in a nearby bay to enjoy your dinner. After dinner you will be sailed back to Amalfi.

Day 3 Cycling from Amalfi via Praiano and Positano to Sant'Agata sui Due Golfi

Todays cycling will bring you to another part of the dramatic "Strada Amfltana" that runs from Amalfi to Sant’Agata sui Due Golfi. You will ride on the ridge of the peninsula with amazing views of both the Coasts of Amalfi and Sorrento.

Just outside Amalfi you'll pass the 'Grotta Azzurra' and the deep fjord Furore, where the fishing huts are clinging to cliffs.

Continue the short bike ride through the whitewashed village of Praiano, and all the way to Positano, the most picturesque villages on the coast.

When arriving in Positano you should make sure to cycle down to the town center towards the beach, from where you can explore the city on foot (most of the city alleys consist of stairs).

On the other side of Positano the coastline becomes more rugged, and the route ascents up to the Colli di San Pitro, which is beautifully situated on the ridge that separates the Amalfi Coast from the rest of the Sorrento Peninsula.

The last stretch from here is short and flat and leads you to your hotel in Sorrento. Use the evening to relax and enjoy a great dinner at the hotel restaurant.

Day 4 From Sant'Agata to Positano with views of Capri and Vesuvius

The first stage of todays route will take you cycling on a plateau, high above the coast, towards the tip of the peninsula, Punta Campanella. Here you can admire the beautiful panorama of the coastline, as well as the plains that stretches all the way to Naples and which is dominated by Mount Vesuvius. From Termini, located at the tip of the peninsula, there are great views to Capri. If you are up for a dip in the sea, you can go down to the lovely beach of Marina del Cantine, before returning along the coastal road in northern direction.

Next, you will cycle through the charming village of Massa Lubrense. It is possible to make an extension into Sorrento with its gorgous location on top of the vertical limestone cliffs high above the sea. Or head to the countryside again just before Sorrento and cycle up towards Sant’Agata sui Due Golfi. From here a short, flat stretch will bring you to Colle di San Pietro, and all the way down to Positano. Rolling down this road just before sunset is a worldclass cycling experience!

Make yourself comfortable at your hotel in Positano before going out for dinner. Dinner tonight is at your own expense, and there is a wide choice of restaurants and pizzerias.

Day 5 From Positano to Salerno

It's the last day on the saddle, so make sure to take as much of the charming Italian beauty and atmosphere with you home.

If you have not visited the Cathedral of Amalfi, grabbed a cup of coffee at the nice square in Atrani, enjoyed a piece of pastry from one of the bakeries in Minori, or even stopped for a cool beverage at Maiori's seafront promenade - now is the time to do it.

Notice the beautiful surroundings you go through as you cycle towards Cetara, and perhaps stop to check out some of the famous ceramics as you pass through Vietri sul Mare.

When you reach Salerno, get off the bikes and take a stroll through the city that holds a medieval castle, lushy botanical gardens, and charming caracteristic alleys in the old part of the city.

In the evening, find a restaurant that perfectly rounds up your Amalfi Coast cycling experience.
